Welcome to the world of Judith Mirus Creative Weavings. This web site is intended to illustrate the style of weavings I create, and to offer them to you, the reader, for purchase for your own home spaces, or to give to others as gifts for them to enjoy, too.
I use the Rio Grande style of design and weaving as the basis for my creations. The Rio Grande weaving tradition has evolved over many generations in northern New Mexico, and is still being practiced today. Some people, like myself, have learned this craft from the excellent teachers in the Fiber Arts Program at the El Rito campus of Northern New Mexico College, including Karen Martinez, a master weaver from the Chimayo region.
So, I invite you to browse these pages and, should you wish to order a piece from me, please contact me through email or by phone to discuss your ideas and to arrange payment. Pieces which are labeled “sold” may be re-created, and designs and colors and sizes are modifiable to your desires.
